I feel like tomatoes are my biggest weakness/problem in the garden. They either grow too big and explode everywhere making a huge mess or I can't produce anything on them at all. Every year I swear I won't do any tomatoes or maybe one or two and I always end up with way more than I intend to grow; always thinking this will be the year that I am successful. So here I am again with 5 or six tomato plants in my garden. Two of which are hanging in home depot buckets above my garden. This is mostly me trying to make the best of my space because I only have a small hoop house to grow in. Last year my most sucessful tomatoes were in these buckets but they started so late that I didn't get to enjoy them too much. I know these are set up similarly to upside down tomatoes, yet they aren't upside down. I did this on purpose because I originally had wanted them to be upside down but when I tried that it was a disaster as the water and soil dripped over the tomatoes leaves and they slowly withered away. If anyone know how to successfully grow upside down tomatoes, thry are more than welcome to share.
