This week I made egg shell juice for my tomatoes. The juice from egg shells soaked in water is supposed to be good for tomato plants because provides them much needed calcium so that they blossom water and don't get any diseases such as blossom rot (black/brown spots). I had been saving my egg shells for several week, making sure that they were well washed out before storing them in a container. Once I collected about a dozen or so then I soaked them in about a gallon or more of water overnight. In the morning I just watered a few of my tomatoes with the liquid and discarding the egg shells in my compost of course :) Simple as that. I don't honestly know if it makes a difference, but I figure it wouldn't hurt to try.
